Clicks, lights or neither

• Prestan Professional has a mechanical clicker that is audible when the compression reaches sufficient depth. That goes a long way in a classroom: the participant hears for themselves whether the depth holds up, and the instructor hears it from across the room.
• Prestan Professional Pro+ adds a light indicator for the rate: a green light at 100–120 compressions per minute, red when it is too slow and flashing red when it is too fast. Depth is still heard as a click.
• Prestan Ultralite has the same click for depth and the same light indicator for rate, but in a considerably lighter shell built to be carried and set up over and over again. The twelve-pack is intended for large groups.
• Professional Series 2000 is the more advanced set-up in the range, with upgrade kits for existing manikins.

None of them needs an app, Wi-Fi or charging — which is the whole argument for many instructors. If you would rather have measured values on a screen, Laerdal's QCPR manikins are the closer choice.

Adult, child and infant — and skin tone

The range covers the full age span: an adult manikin with and without chin lift, Professional Junior for children, Professional Baby and Ultralite Baby for infants, plus a female training torso. The bundle packs take adult, child and infant in a single purchase.

Every model comes in light and dark skin tone, and Prestan also sells diversity kits where a four-pack or twelve-pack contains both. It is one of the few manikin ranges where mixed skin tone can be ordered as one item rather than two.

AED trainers

Prestan AED UltraTrainer and Professional AED Trainer Plus play voice prompts without delivering any shock. They are available as single units and in four-packs with a case, and the electrodes are sold separately in pairs and four-packs because they are consumables. The trainer detects electrodes on Prestan's own manikins, so pad placement can be registered during the exercise.

The face and lung bag is the consumable

Prestan's hygiene solution is based on a combined face and lung bag that is changed between participants, together with face shields. Both come in packs of 50. On top of that we stock replacement heads, skins, chest plates, clickers and replacement pads for the trainer — the manikin rarely needs replacing, but the parts wear out.
