Om produkten
The BAG II disposable breathing balloon is Laerdal's disposable option for patient ventilation. The BAG II breathing balloon is an excellent choice for patient ventilation without the risk of contamination or the need for cleaning. The BAG II is available in three sizes with different balloon volumes: adult, child or infant.
The BAG II, just like its reusable cousin the Laerdal Silicone Resuscitator, has five main components. The transparent mask closes tightly against the patient's face, providing proper ventilation and allowing the healthcare staff to see the patient's lips, secretions and exhaled breath. The joint between the mask and the breathing balloon can be turned 360 degrees, which gives the healthcare staff the freedom to choose their working position.
The yellow PVC ventilation bladder is transparent and has an ergonomic design. The ergonomic design provides an excellent feel for how the lungs respond and helps avoid over-ventilation that can damage the lungs. The BAG II also comes with an adjustable strap that can be attached to the user's hands to reduce physical effort. Neither the size of the user's hands nor the size of the balloon matters: the breathing balloon attaches to the hand and helps the user provide controlled ventilation.
The BAG II is also equipped with an oxygen reservoir in a closed system, with connection directly to the oxygen source via a universal tube of the Star-Lumen type. The system allows the user to administer an oxygen concentration of 98-100%. No adapter is needed between the hose and the flow meter, the hose can be connected directly.
