Rugged Design - HeartStart FRx was built to withstand the rigors of tough times and has undergone rigorous testing such as: resisting water in the form of a jet stream, crushing weights over 200 kg and being dropped onto concrete from 1 meter.
Voice instructions - HeartStart FRx provides clear and need-based voice instructions. These are tailored so that even an amateur can perform resuscitation in the event of a sudden cardiac arrest without any problems.
Child Key - By changing the voice instructions and reducing the force of the shock, the Child Key turns the HeartStart FRx into a defibrillator that can be used on children and infants. The same electrodes can be used for adults, children and infants.
Light weight - Weighing only 1.6 kg, the HeartStart FRx is light and portable. This makes it easy to transport and perfect for, for example, police officers and firefighters.
Built-in self-test - Your HeartStart FRx undergoes a 120-point test before leaving the factory. On site, it performs a self-test every day, not just weekly. It performs a total of over 80 different types of tests. Even the electrodes are tested so that they are ready for use.
SMART biphasic treatment - Philips defibrillators use SMART biphasic treatment. This means that the current first goes through one direction in the chest and then the other. Biphasic therapy has been shown to have a 90% probability of treating ventricular fibrillation on the first attempt. This can be compared to monophasic waveform which has only 60% for the corresponding case. The fact that the current goes through two directions instead of one means that the current strength can be slightly lower. This reduces the risk of damage to the heart muscle.
Rapid shock function - CPR has been shown to be even more important for survival than previously thought. Being able to provide defibrillation quickly after chest compressions is critical. HeartStart OnSite's quick shock feature minimizes the time from hands-off to delivery.
Ready - HeartStart FRx is delivered ready to use right out of the box. The device is pre-installed in a carrying case and batteries and electrodes are also pre-installed. You get peace of mind that it will be deployed immediately.
