The Philips HeartStart HS1 is the world's most popular defibrillator for a reason. It is very easy to use and is incredibly well proven. HS1 is activated by pulling the handle or pressing the green button. Voice instructions guide you calmly and clearly through the entire process. From how to place each electrode on the patient to how to perform CPR and deliver a heart attack. You will also receive instructions on how often to do chest compressions and blow in air. HS1 performs self-tests every day. Over 80 different points are tested daily. That the status indicator flashes green shows that everything is as it should be. The defibrillator starts to alarm and flash red if the battery or electrodes need to be replaced. Or if the device requires any other service. This ensures a functioning defibrillator in an emergency situation.
