Cederroth Eye Shower works to neutralize the eye's pH value, i.e. it has a neutralizing effect on splashes of alkalis and acids, which gives faster results than with normal saline solution. The effect is generally stronger on alkalis than acids. Shelf life of a full 4.5 years. If there has been an accident with calcium-containing substances (e.g. cement, concrete or lime), you can safely rinse with Cederroth Ögondusch because it is 100% phosphate-free for optimal rinsing.
