Burnshield burn gel is approved by the Medical Products Agency in Sweden for use on burns. Blotts are so easy to use and have such a good effect that they can be used by everyone, both in the healthcare and emergency services as well as in industry and in homes. Burnshield gel cools down, reduces the pain in the skin and prevents the damage from spreading in tissues around the wound. The dressing keeps the wound clean and moist and reduces the risk of general cooling.
Burnshield blotts are bags with a water-based jelly that does not irritate or stick to the wound. The gel is easy to remove when other treatment is started in hospital.
