A spineboard, also known as a spinal stabilization stretcher, is a medical device used to immobilize and safely transport patients with suspected spinal injuries, especially in situations where the injury may be serious or life-threatening. Spineboards are usually made of a rigid, light and waterproof material that can withstand heavy loads.
