Burnshield burn dressings are approved by the Medical Products Agency in Sweden for use on burns. The bandages are so easy to use and have such a good effect that they can be used by everyone, both in healthcare and the emergency services as well as in industry and in homes. Burnshield burn dressing cools down, reduces the pain in the skin and prevents the damage from spreading into tissues around the wound. The dressing keeps the wound clean and moist and reduces the risk of general cooling.
Burnshield burn dressings are impregnated with a water-based jelly that does not irritate the wound. It also does not stick to the wound. The dressing and gel are easy to remove when other treatment is started in hospital.
