SAM Splint 9″ / 23 cm in charcoal
SAM Splint is a mouldable splint with an aluminium interior between two layers of closed-cell foam. It is flexible when flat. Forming a longitudinal curve gives the structure the rigidity needed for support.
Can be shaped and cut to size
The splint can be cut with ordinary scissors. The manufacturer describes it as lightweight, radiolucent, reusable and fitted with a cleanable exterior. Follow the instructions for use and local hygiene procedures.

The shorter flat format is intended for situations where a full 91 cm splint is unnecessary. The colour is charcoal; function and materials are identical to the equivalent SAM Splint in the other colour.
